Vidagua Turns 1 Year Old!

One year ago, Eddie put our first batch of aguas frescas into bottles and hoped everyone could taste what he loved: something refreshing, something clean, something authentic. Nothing else. That simple idea—agua fresca first, hydration second—then came the birth of Vidagua.

This year wasn’t glossy. It was early alarms, ice chests in the trunk, sticky tables after tastings, and the rush of hearing “wait…this is really good.” It was friends lending hands, family telling us to keep going, and strangers turning into regulars. It was learning how to move faster without cutting corners, and how to stay true to flavor even when it would’ve been easier not to.

We started with three flavors that felt like home—Mango Ginger, Cucumber Lemon, and Jamaica (hibiscus)—and kept the ingredient list short on purpose. If you can’t pronounce it, it probably doesn’t belong in your drink. That rule has guided us from day one.

What we learned in Year One

Keep it simple. Real ingredients carry the story better than any headline.

Earn every sip. The best marketing is a cold sample and an honest conversation.

Show up. Community events, small tables, long days—they matter.

Listen. Your DMs, taste-test notes, and “make it a little less sweet” feedback shaped our batches.

What’s next

More moments worth sharing. More tastings. A few new flavors we’re excited to test (only if they pass the “drink the whole bottle without a crash” test). Smarter partnerships with people and places that feel like us. Maybe some merch drops you’ll actually want to wear. Always: clean labels and bright, crushable flavor.
